The former chairman and managing director of Cognizant (India) Ramkumar Ramamoorthy is all set to join Krea University as its first Pro Vice- Chancellor in January 2021.
Ramkumar as the first Pro Vice-Chancellor would be responsible for professional learning, a press release said.
In his new role, Ramkumar would help drive the mission and long-term strategy of the University of its professional programmes across Masters in Business Administration, executive education, that would add significant value to businesses, individuals.

CHENNAI: The Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) is set to establish the “Dr F C Kohli Centre of Excellence for Advanced Research in Mathematical and Computing Sciences” in honour of Faqir Chand Kohli, known popularly as the father of the Information Technology industry in India.
With a committed donation of Rs 10 crore towards the establishment of the centre, the institute will raise funds from cor porates, communi t y groups, colleagues and wellwishers to further augment the corpus. “Using the funds, the institute will establish a Centre of Excellence and Endowed Chairs, as well as provide grants for advanced research in areas such as data science, quantum computing and complexity theory.

CHENNAI: Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), a teaching and research institute in mathematics, is establishing the Dr F C Kohli Centre of Excellence for Advanced Research in Mathematical and Computing Sciences” in honour of Dr F C Kohli, a tech veteran who created and shaped the IT industry in India.
CMI said it has committed around Rs 10 crore to establish this centre. To augment this corpus, the institute would also raise additional funds from corporate foundations, community groups, colleagues and well-wishers, it added.
