The CMI institute offers seven courses for UG and PG students.
The name of the courses is BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science, B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics, MSc in Mathematics, MSc in Computer Science, MSc in Data Science, PhD in Mathematics, PhD in Computer Science, and PhD in Physics.

Institute inducts three more members to its governing council Prof. Madhavan Mukund has been appointed as the director of Chennai Mathematical Institute. He will take over from Rajeeva Karandikar on May 1. Mr. Karandikar has served the institute as director for 10 years.
Mr. Mukund, who graduated with a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and Ph.D from Aarhus University, Denmark in Computer Science, has been associated with the Institute, a deemed to be university, since 1989 and served as Dean of Studies from 2011 and deputy director from 2019.

Chennai, April 9 : The Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), a deemed to be university, on Friday announced the appointment of Prof Madhavan Mukund as its Director effective May 1, 2021.
He will succeed Prof Rajeeva Karandikar who would be retiring after 10 years as Director.
Mukund is currently the Director of the International Research Laboratory in Computer Science set up at the CMI by the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), and a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences.

IIT Roorkee started organizing the competitions for National Science Day 2021 on February 19. An Inter-School Online Science Quiz Competition was held for seven local schools on February 19, 2021. The first prize in Inter School Online Science Quiz Competition was bagged by the Greenway Modern Sr. Sec. School Roorkee.
