Iowans Need the Covid Relief Bill!
[BFIA Editor’s note: All Republican representatives from Iowa Ashley Hinson, Randy Feenstra and Marianette Miller-Meeks voted AGAINST Covid relief. Democrat Cindy Axne voted FOR the relief bill.]
Call Senator Grassley (202-224-3744)
Dear Iowans:
On Saturday, the U.S. House passed the American Rescue Plan/Covid Relief Bill that will fund vaccines, provide $1,400 payments to Iowans making less than $75,000 a year, and increase the child tax credit. (Thank you, Representative Cindy Axne!)
Now Iowans need the U.S. Senate to pass that bill to help stop the coronavirus and to help Iowans who have been suffering its economic consequences.

WASHINGTON, DC - Both Iowa Senators Joni Ernst and Chuck Grassley are on record with statements on their votes against convicting former President Trump.
Ernst said the impeachment amounted to partisan revenge and was unconstitutional because Trump was no longer in office.
Grassley said Congress did not have the authority to try a private citizen, and that the House Managers failed to prove their case.
On Saturday after Senators voted to have witnesses, Ernst told a New York Times reported it was a total, total s t show and a tool of revenge.
The House Managers and Trump defense team later agreed to not call witnesses, but instead to include a statement from Republican Representative Herrera Beutler in the record.
