  President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate to confirm the appointment of the Acting Chief Judge of the FCT High Court, Honorable Justice Salisu Garba Abdullahi. The request which was contained in a letter was received and read on Tuesday during plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan. According to President Buhari, the request is made pursuant to Section 256 subsection 1 of the 1999 Constitution as amended. The Senate is expected to refer the President’s request to the Senate Committee on Judiciary Human Rights and Legal Matters for further legislative work. More on Local
