I remember my first coconut shake.
I was trying to escape the scorching heat and was seeking shelter at one of the shopping malls.
Desperate for a quick refreshing drink, I eyed the snaking queues at Mr. Coconut.
However, after seeing that a cup would cost as much as my lunch, my urge to quench my thirst went away.
So imagine my glee when I found out that I could redeem a free cup during my birthday month (and it was indeed my birthday month!).
I promptly joined the queue and ordered myself the largest coconut shake available.
SINGAPORE (THE BUSINESS TIMES) - Genting Singapore, the operator of Resorts World Sentosa, has posted in its first-quarter business overview a 26 per cent drop in net profit to $34.5 million for its first quarter ended March, while revenue declined 32 per cent to $277.9 million.
This was due to the Covid-19 impact which continued to weigh on its operational performance, it said on Friday (May 7), adding that its earnings decline would have been more pronounced if not for the support measures initiated by the Singapore government.
Under revenue, gaming revenue slid 19 per cent to $216.9 million, while non-gaming revenue plunged 56 per cent to $60.7 million. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (Ebitda) for its Singapore integrated resort (IR) fell 15 per cent to $135.1 million.

ICYMI: We’ve previously talked about the best countries for introverted travellers. But this time, allow us to talk about our fave “extroverted countries” that are vibrant, full of life, and anything but boring. Essentially, these destinations are perfect for travellers who enjoy being around people; whether it involves lots of socialising, basking in the frenetic pace of cities, or both.
As an extrovert myself, I’m not really that choosy about where I travel. Although, if anything, many would say that most top destinations cater especially to the extroverted traveller. Still, it’s true that some places are more exciting and exuberant than others; the same way that some nationalities and ethnicities simply have a better reputation for being warm and friendly.
