HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hurricane Felicia has finally begun a more rapid weakening trend and has been downgraded Category 2 system far to the east of Hawaii.
Meanwhile, the National Hurricane Center said Tropical Storm Guillermo has weakened as it continues on a westward track.
Forecasters said at 5 p.m. Sunday, the center of Felicia was located about 1,655 miles east-southeast of Hilo and was moving to the west-northeast at 12 miles per hour.
