The Himalayas have a number of key religious shrines nestled amongst the snowy peaks and in the valleys.
Most of these shrines are in India and Nepal.
In the Amarnath cave shrine, a ShivaLingam made of ice (snow) is worshipped. The Amarnath Cave was chosen by Lord Shiva to narrate the secret of immortality to Goddess Parvati.
