A homegrown hardware empire continues to build on its expansion plans after nailing down a deal for a prime new site in one of the region’s major growth areas.
Construction is already under way at the property, which was formerly occupied by Kubota, and is due to open later this year.
There’s some big plans for the store with Sunshine Mitre 10 general manager Neil Hutchins eager to make the most of the property and its size while paying homage to the company’s foundations. Sunshine Mitre 10 will open a flagship store on a 13,000 sqm site in Nambour this year.
“The new location in Nambour is important because it not only meets the increasing demand from our retail and trade customer base but it also supports the town of Nambour and pays respect to the heritage where the company was started by Walter Lanham in 1910,” he said.
