JAMMU, July 7: Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister,Tara Chand today said that statehood and right to job and land are the identity and protection of the Dogra identity and culture and the people of Jammu and Kashmir shall fight till last to secure their rights and status.
Addressing a public meeting at Khour in Chhamb Constituency Tara Chand urged the PM Narendra Modi to come true on his promise on the restoration of Statehood. He said the feeling of detachment among the people is growing, the Government should understand the anger and restore the snatched honour to the people and empower the people of J&K with the restoration of their rights.

Tara Chand urges Centre to restore statehood to J&K

JAMMU, Feb 8: Former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand has urged upon the Central Government to restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
He was addressing the Congress workers at border village Sainth in Khour. While speaking on the occasion, Tara Chand also extended support to the ongoing farmers’ agitation and demanded repeal of the farm laws.
Tara Chand said that the unemployment is at its peak due to the anti-youth policies of the Government and demanded more job opportunities for the local youth. He said that unemployment is raising depression and stress among young generation which is frequently committing suicide.
Congress will emerge as largest party in DDC elections: Satish

JAMMU, Dec 14: Former Chairman of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and senior Congress leader, Satish Sharma has claimed that Congress will emerge as the largest party in the ongoing DDC elections results of which will be declared on December 22.
He also said, in the elections held so far, Congress has overtaken all the parties.
Addressing a public meeting during campaigning for Congress candidate Suram Singh in Khour block of Akhnoor, Satish Sharma claimed that there has been no development in J&K in the last six years of BJP rule.
