Council Discusses Future Plans, Hears Planning & Zoning Requests The Hillsboro City Council continued discussions from a recent planning workshop and considered planning and zoning recommendations in a regular meeting held Tuesday, May 4. City Manager Megan Henderson recapped information covered during the recent workshop. She stressed the importance of planning improvements, communicating those plans effectively to the community and following through to accomplish the projects. A major topic of discussion has been the condition of city streets, and Henderson said that a multi-year, multi-million dollar commitment to street improvements is necessary utilizing bond, stimulus and grant funding. Plans also include using those same sources of funding to increase the quality of water and sewer systems.
