VANCOUVER Fraser Health is warning recent visitors to a Surrey nail salon and a New Westminster gurdwara that they may have been exposed to COVID-19. The exposures at Envy Nails, located in Guildford Town Centre, happened from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on April 24 and 26, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 25, according to the health authority. The exposures at Gurdwara Sahib Sukh Sagar, located at 347 Wood St., happened from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on April 24, as well as at associated events at private residences in Langley and Burnaby, according to Fraser Health. The gathering in Langley happened on April 22 from noon to 7 p.m. and the one in Burnaby happened on April 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., the health authority said.

Fraser Health is warning people who attended a house of worship for Sikhs in New Westminster last weekend that they may have been exposed to the coronavirus during their visit.
The health authority on Friday issued a COVID-19 exposure alert for the Gurdwara Sahib Sukh Saga, located at 347 Wood St., and two associated events in other Metro Vancouver communities.
The potential exposure at the place of worship took place Saturday morning, April 24, between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The associated events, meanwhile, are listed as having taken place at private residences in Langley, on April 22 from noon to 7p.m., and Burnaby, on April 24 between 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
For her achievement, Begum received the Channel I Agro Award.
A total of 1,711 hectares of land across nine upazilas in Faridpur are being used for onion seed cultivation this year while it was 1,400 hectares in 2020.
Farmers are cultivating various varieties of onion seed, including Rajshahi Tahirpur, Superking, Sukhsagar, BARI-4, Nasik King and also the hybrid ones.
But during a visit to Vachanchar and Gobindapur village of Faridpur Sadar upazila on Friday, this correspondent found that most of the onion shoots sticking out of the ground had dried up.
Some sprouts also showed signs of swarming caterpillar attacks while others failed to flower at all due to a lack of pollination.
