Bait Al Zubair Foundation’s first Sufi music festival tomorrow SHARE
MUSCAT: For the first time in Oman, Bait Al Zubair Foundation, in cooperation with Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, is presenting the Bait Al Zubair First Festival for Sufi Music with the participation of International bands from Iran, Pakistan, Oman and Morocco tomorrow till February 1, at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, Muscat, from 7:15 pm. Sufism, known as tasawwuf in the Arabic-speaking world, is a form of Islamic mysticism that emphasises introspection and spiritual closeness with God. Sufi practice focuses on the renunciation of worldly things, purification of the soul and the mystical contemplation of God’s nature. Sufi music is the devotional music of the Sufis, inspired by the works of Sufi poets. This event is a part of Bait Al Zubair Foundation’s aim to promote the Sultanate’s rich culture in the performing arts.
