KULAI: Five businessmen were charged at the Magistrate’s Court here with the murder of a car repossessor whose body was found on the North-South Expressway.
The accused Choo Zhi Jie, 18, Kong King Xiang, 23, P. Shanker Rao, 24, Ng Cheng Peng, 30, Ng Cheng Ket, 31, nodded after the charge was read to them via a video conference call.
It was understood that the five had been placed under Covid-19 quarantine at the Kulai district police headquarters lock-up.
According to the charge sheet read before Magistrate Sharifah Maleeha Syed Hussin, the five accused and another person still at large committed the offence at KM40.2 of the North-South Expressway near here at 12.30am on Dec 20.
