Columbus Junction anticipates tax levy drop

COLUMBUS JUNCTION Columbus Junction’s Fiscal Year 2022 budget, which includes Total Expenditures/Transfers Out of $2,487,904, received approval from the city council during its regular meeting on Wednesday. The council acted following a short public hearing that did not draw any local residents or comments.
Mayor Mark Huston provided an overview of the budget, using two budget information summaries that had been prepared by city clerk Julie Heindel.
According to Huston’s report, the budget projects Total Revenue/Other Sources of $2,682,124, which will leave an ending balance on June 30, 2022 of $533,848. The anticipated beginning FY22 balance on July 1, 2022, is $339,628.
Bungie is pretty much just the Destiny studio at this point in the developer’s life cycle.
