Biz New Orleans 06/28/2021 NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Lower 9th Ward Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the neighborhood a safer, more resilient place to live and work while celebrating the community’s unique history and voice within New Orleans culture, is pleased to announce that the Joe W. & Dorothy Dorsett Brown Foundation has awarded Chief Executive Officer Arthur J. Johnson the 2021 Environmental Impact Award and a $10,000 grant. The funds will enable CSED to continue its mission and organizational priorities, including community science workshops and service-learning opportunities focused on identifying sustainable solutions to regional climate challenges.

Chester: One of Cheshire s oldest estates is runner-up in top award | Chester and District Standard

ONE of Cheshire’s oldest family estates, on the outskirts of Chester, has been announced as the runner-up in this year’s prestigious Rural Business Awards. The private Barnston Estate, which consists of 1,800 acres in and around the villages of Farndon, Churton and Hapsford, was runner-up in The Sustainability and Environmental Impact Award. The national awards recognise and celebrate the successes of businesses operating in the UK’s rural economy - a sector which in England alone contributes £261bn to the nation’s GVA, nearly a fifth of the country’s total economic activity. The awards, held online for the first time due to lockdown and in partnership with Amazon, were hosted by Jules Hudson, the BBC Escape to the Country presenter.

The award recognised Sea Monster for the design and implementation of the Livin’ it Up financial education mobile game, designed for Capitec Bank, the third most valuable bank brand in the world. Over the past decade, the International Content Marketing Awards have become the gold standard for the content marketing industry, with companies from over 25 countries competing for recognition in 2020. The awards are run by the Content Marketing Association (CMA), a UK-based not-for-profit association that aims to grow and promote the global content industry.
