North Melbourne midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke is enjoying a solid season and is finding his feet at AFL level.
The fourth-year Roo was particularly influential in the side’s win over Gold Coast on Saturday, picking up 25 disposals, six inside 50s, five clearances and kicking a goal.
David King believes it’s in Davies-Uniacke’s best interests to give Melbourne midfielder Christian Petracca a phone call.
“I wonder where Davies-Uniacke is going to go as a player. I can’t remember who said it, but someone made the point that he should be ringing Christian Petracca and ask him what the steps were to becoming the physical specimen that he is now, because LDU is at that point in his career where the penny dropped for Petracca,” King told

North Melbourneâs 18-point loss to Collingwood on Saturday afternoon signalled eight straight losses to start the 2021 season.
While the Kangaroos are no doubt in rebuild mode, Kane Cornes is concerned that they havenât got enough young talent on their list to eventually return up the ladder.
Speaking on
AFL.com.auâs The Round So Far, Cornes said he âstrugglesâ to get excited about many youngsters in David Nobleâs side.
âSome of their decision making and skill execution under no pressure, we were seeing things you should never see on an AFL field,â Cornes said.

Questions have been asked of the AFLâs medical sub rule after Carltonâs Jacob Weitering suffered a heavy head knock but remained on the field against Port Adelaide on Saturday night.
The defender took a strong contested mark against Charlie Dixon but made accidental contact with Power midfielder Ollie Winesâ shoulder on the way down.
Weitering appeared dazed but managed to take his kick following the heavy knock, even staying on the field for the remainder of the Bluesâ 28 point loss.
Kane Cornes told
AFL.com.auâs The Round So Far that it wasnât a good look that Weitering finished the game following the incident.

Criticisms for clubs on draft night are – for better or worse – always going to be around.
With North Melbourne essentially having Pick 4 (given Jamarra Ugle-Hagan was always going to be a Dog at Pick 1), most mock drafts had them tossing up between tall forward Logan McDonald, tall back Denver Grainger-Barrass, and midfielder Elijah Hollands.
With Ben Brown departing to Melbourne, Nick Larkey needed help and with Robbie Tarrant and the development of Ben McKay, DGB seemed unlikely and Hollands was a really highly rated young midfielder. But that glaring hole at centre half forward seemed too big and McDonald had played senior WAFL football.
