FMCG major Nestle India on Friday apologised for wrongly depicting Manipur s Keibul Lamjao National Park location in Meghalaya on the packaging of its KitKat chocolate after objection by authorities from the state government. The packaging of the particular batch of the KitKat travel break chocolate had also displayed a picture of a Red Panda, a species which is not found at the Keibul Lamjao National Park.

The domestic equity barometers reversed early losses and entered the positive terrain in early afternoon trade. The Nifty reclaimed the 14,300 mark. Surging COVID-19 cases in the country continue to weigh on the investors sentiment.
At 12:21 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was up 21.75 points or 0.05% to 47,727.55. The Nifty 50 index added 25 points or 0.17% to 14,321.40.
In the broader market, the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index gained 0.30% while the S&P BSE Small-Cap index rose 0.10%.
The market breadth was positive. On the BSE, 1598 shares rose and 1102 shares fell. A total of 163 shares were unchanged.

The NSE s India VIX, a gauge of market s expectation of volatility over the near term, jumped 4.60% to 23.46. The Nifty 29 April 2021 futures were trading at 14,325.75, at a premium of 4.35 points as compared with the spot at 14,321.40.

Shares of the popular Maggi noodle maker - Nestle India - fell as much as 1.73 per cent to hit an intraday low of Rs 16,799 on the National Stock Exchange after it reported March quarter earnings post market hours on Tuesday. On the BSE, Nestle India shares declined as much as 1.67 per cent to hit an intraday low of Rs 16,800.
Nestle India reported net profit of Rs 602 crore on Tuesday, April 20, registering a growth of 14.6 per cent in the January-March quarter from Rs 525 crore during the same period last year. Nestle India reported double-digit domestic sales growth in the quarter ending March 2021 at 10.2 per cent, while overall sales grew by 8.9 per cent to Rs 3,600 crore.
