SHIVMOGA: Just two days after he was vaccinated for Covid-19, a doctor died at a private hospital in Karnataka’s Shivamogga on Wednesday. The government, however, said the death of the 58-year-old doctor was due to cardiac issues and unrelated to the vaccination. Dr Jayaprakash TA was working as a senior resident in the department of orthopedics at Subbaiah Medical College Hospital. He had taken Covishield vaccine along with his colleagues on Monday.
District health officer Dr Rajesh Suragihalli said the doctor was hospitalised after he developed chest pain on Wednesday morning. “He died due to cardiac problems,” Suragihalli told TOI.
