New Zoom tools want to ease concerns over going back to the office.

With Covid-19 forcing an evolution of the workplace, Zoom has announced the general availability of Zoom Rooms innovations that will help businesses allow staff to safely re-enter the office and sustain an ‘everywhere workforce’ that changes have brought about.
According to a recent survey , the top three concerns employees have about going back to work in the office others coming to work sick, an overcrowded workplace, and proper ventilation.
Oded Gal, Chief Product Officer of Zoom said: As the world plans to safely reopen businesses, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and government entities, we are focused on innovating across our platform to support their needs.
To do that, it has added a bunch of features to Zoom Rooms, including the ability to count the number of people inside a conference room – so you can judge whether you’ll be able to maintain social distancing when attending in-person or whether it’s better to join the call virtually, adjust video conferencing equipment without touching any surfaces, and even measure the ventilation and air quality in a space.
Zoom has even considered the front desk of your office. A new Kiosk Mode will allow a virtual receptionist, working from home but appearing on-screen using Zoom’s video call software, to greet you. They can check the status of current meetings, as well as making sure meeting spaces aren t too crowded.

Zoom Video Communications has announced the general availability of its Zoom Rooms innovations. The solutions are meant to help organisations enable their workforce to safely re-enter the office and sustain an ‘everywhere workforce’.
Zoom Rooms is the company’s software-defined video conferencing system that runs in conference rooms.
The company has introduced a range of new Zoom Rooms features for businesses.
Organisations can pair a Zoom Room with their mobile device, view real-time people count data and monitor a room’s environment and air quality, among other features.
