ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) Pharmacies across New York State specifically at CVS and Walgreens are starting to see more COVID-19 doses come in from the federal government.
“There s much more availability than there was,” Pharmacy Society of Rochester Board Member Elizabeth Sutton Burke said. “It s still kind of tight but it s definitely getting better.
Last week bigger chains like CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreen s were among some of the pharmacies that started giving out COVID-19 shots.
They re following state guidelines, which means only those 65 and older can get vaccinated specifically at pharmacies.

“Please don t give up” Sutton Burke said. “It is very frustrating. But as the vaccine becomes easier and a little bit more available those appointments are going open up and it s going to become a lot easier to get those appointments.”
