Selection trials organised

JAMMU, Dec 28: Joint Director Youth Services & Sports organized two days selection trials of different folk dances, folk songs and Regional dances & skits, here today.
The motive of selection trials was to select best group in different disciplines to participate in 24th National Youth Festival which is scheduled to be held on December 30 to January 8.
The selection trials were conducted under the chairmanship of Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K UT and under the overall supervision of M R Uttam Assistant Director DYSS Jammu, DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj and DYSSO Udhampur, Swarn Singh.
The winning candidates will participate in State level competition to make the youth festival a remarkable programme.

JAMMU, Dec 16: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) concluded Inter-School District Level (ISDL) selection trials in discipline of Netball for boys under AAG at Govt Boys High School Jammu Cantonment, here today.
The participants of different schools of district Jammu participated in the trials selection which was organised under overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
The aim of the selection trials is to select the best players for next level of tournament coming ahead. All the organising committee members and technical officials were also present during the competition.
Trekking expedition organised

JAMMU, Dec 14: The Zone Miran Sahib of Department of Youth Service and Sports today organised five days trekking expedition.
The trekking expedition was flagged off by SDM RS Pura, Ram Lal in presence of District Officer Youth Services and Sports, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
About 100 students including boys and girls and 15 staff members led, by ZEPO Miran Sahib, Rakesh Kakad participated in this camp. During the five days camp, the students will explore the adjoining areas of Mansar from the base camp Mansar. They will also participate in Rapping, Rope climbing and Tug of War competitions for their recreation.
