Remembering Our Fallen… a traveling photo memorial of Iowa and Nebraska fallen service members since 9/11 has made its way to Siouxland. I contacted them and said hey we d love to have your exhibit out at Siouxland Freedom Park. And with an exhibit like this inside the interpretive center, it truly is what the interpretive center will be one day, said Melissa Lanzourakis, Volunteer.

The centerpiece of Siouxland Freedom Park is the Vietnam Memorial, bearing the names of all the American service members who died during the war.
To many Siouxlanders, including one familiar face to long-time KTIV viewers, there are deep, personal connections to those names. It s Siouxland sacred ground and that makes it special. I think, for veterans in South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, the tri-state area and perhaps, beyond. I mean, it s a tremendous thing to have here. said Bruce Scheid, former KTIV reporter of 37 years.
