NEW DELHI: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will take over security of the Hyderabad campus of Bharat Biotech, the manufacturer of made-in-India Covid vaccine Covaxin, from June 14, official sources said.
The petition of Tripathy stated that on April 10, 2021, during the fourth phase of the election schedule, in the State of West Bengal, the villagers were voting peacefully since the morning at a poll booth in Sitalkuchi (Amtali Madhyamik Siksha Kendra) in Cooch Behar district of North Bengal. While polling was underway, some BJP cadres were taking 50-60 voters to the polling booth escorted by CISF personnel.

Synopsis Asthana, a 1984 batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre, was CBI’s erstwhile second-in-command when a tiff had broken out between Asthana and the then CBI Director Alok Verma. An FIR was registered against Asthana, the then special CBI Director when Verma was the CBI Director.
A Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led three-member selection committee had on Monday shortlisted his name for the post.

NEW DELHI: CISF chief Subodh Kumar Jaiswal was on Tuesday appointed as the new CBI director for two years, according to a Personnel Ministry order.
Jaiswal is a 1985-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Maharashtra cadre.
He has also served as Maharashtra s director general of police in the past.
The Central Bureau of Investigation was working without a regular chief for over three months after Rishi Kumar Shukla completed his two-year tenure on February 3.
