Undefeated Indiana High is the number-one seed in Class A headed into tonight’s PIHL playoff opener, a quarterfinal matchup against #8 North Catholic at the Kirk S. Nevin Arena in Greensburg. They beat North Catholic, 3-1 on January 26
th.
At 17-0, Indiana led Class A with 108 goals and gave up just 36, which tied with Chartiers Valley for the lowest number of goals allowed. They were led this season by Zach Eisenhower with 18 goals, Danny Williams with 16, and Ben Nettleton with 15. Williams added 20 assists to lead the team with 36 points overall, followed by Eisenhower’s 35 and Nettleton’s 31. Goaltender Seamus O’Connor finished 17-0 with a 2.19 goals-against average and an .867 save percentage. The team’s power play percentage was a stellar 30.4 percent while the penalty kill averaged 83.6 percent.

The death has occurred of Siobhán Shanahan (née Brosnan), Adare and Ballybunion.
Beloved and devoted wife of Patrick. Siobhán will be dearly missed by her loving sister, Mary, brother, Billy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and her wonderful colleagues at University Hospital Limerick.

Peacefully, at her residence. Patricia is deeply regretted by her loving husband Thomas, daughters Catherine and Martina, sons Christopher, Adrian and Jonathan, grandchildren, great -grandchildren, brothers and sisters, all other relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

The late Seamus O Connor
The death has occurred of Seamus O Connor, Ayrfield, Granges Road, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny / Celbridge, Kildare. Séamus will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Sheila, son Luke, and daughters Annie and Ciara. Seamus is survived by his six siblings Tom, Rita, Des, Ger, Joe and George as well as his sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and the many lives he touched in both a personal and professional capacity. Due to current restrictions and guidelines Séamus home and funeral will be confined to family and friends. Séamus Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family, on Saturday 6th March at 11am, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer, followed by interment in Donaghcumper Cemetery, Celbridge, County Kildare. Séamus remains will be reposed at his home from 7pm on Friday, March 5.
