The Palarivattom structure constructed by RDS Projects had to be pulled down following cracks
The State government is soon expected to take a call on recovering the cost of rebuilding the pier caps, girders, and slabs of the Palarivattom flyover from RDS Projects, which had constructed the structure that had to be pulled down following cracks.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which entrusted the Kozhikode-based ULCCS with the reconstruction work, had, in addition, strengthened the pillars of the structure by concrete wrapping.

DMRC, ULCCS trying to complete work ahead of schedule The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) are making an all-out effort to complete the reconstruction of Palarivattom flyover in March, three months ahead of schedule, according to official sources.
About 75% of the work has been completed. Pending work, including completing deck slab, crash barriers, parapet, lowering of span, tarring, kerb works and load test, will hopefully get over latest by March 31. “We will not waste a single day’s work, including night hours. The full complement of workers is there at the site, all through,” they added.

The proposed four-lane stretch between Chakkaraparambu and Seaport-Airport Road prominent among them
The omission of a couple of overdue but futuristic road projects in Friday’s State Budget has invited flak from residents’ associations and people’s representatives.
Prominent among them was the access-controlled four-lane stretch proposed between Chakkaraparambu and Seaport-Airport Road by RBDCK in 2013, as an eastward extension of M.G. Road-Thammanam-Pullepady-Chakkaraparambu Road. A year later, the Kerala State Construction Corporation (KSCC) was entrusted with the task of executing the 4-km road project.
