Health Minister, Dr Adham Baba has said that 126,000 people will receive the COVID-19 vaccine each day throughout the Malaysia. The vaccinations will be carried out at 600 locations nationwide starting from the end of February 2021.
The Minister said each location will have 7 vaccinators who are able to inoculate 30 people per day, which is equivalent to 210 people getting the jab per location daily. This was revealed to reporters during his visit to inspect a foreign workers’ hostel together with the Johor Health Department in Senai.
The first batch of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be administered from the end of February until April 2021 to frontliners which include healthcare workers, Malaysian Armed Forces, Royal Malaysian Police and the Civil Defence Force under Phase 1. KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 11: The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) today handed over personal protective equipment (PPE) worth close to RM654,000 – which includes isolation gowns, coverall, gloves and masks – to the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) to be distributed to frontliners to fight COVID-19.
Director-General of NADMA, Datuk Dr Aminuddin Hassim, said the generous contribution from Japan through JICA is a manifestation of strong bilateral ties between Malaysia and Japan and that JICA plays a significant role in supporting the socio-economic development and helping countries in the region to recover from the pandemic.
“NADMA will make full use of PPE and will handover the items to police, army, Civil Defence Force and the People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA) who worked tirelessly during the Movement Control Order period.

Malaysia extends MCO to 18 February 2021, Sarawak to remain under CMCO Details Published: 03 February 2021
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this decision comes following advice and a risk assessment done by the Ministry of Health, which had noted an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases recently. Meanwhile, the NSC has also released an updated set of SOPs for the MCO in Sabah, and the Kapit and Song districts of Sarawak.
Malaysia has extended its Movement Control Order (MCO, or PKP) by two weeks, starting on 5 February 2021 up till 18 February 2021. This will apply nationwide except for most districts in the state of Sarawak, which will remain under the Conditional MCO (CMCO, or PKPB).
