After a number of sailings were cancelled on Sunday, only one boat is running on Red Funnel s car ferry route, between Southampton and the Isle of Wight today (Monday). The operator, which sails between Southampton and East Cowes, said: Due to a mechanical fault on the Red Osprey, our vehicle ferry will be running a one-boat service on May 10. All other scheduled sailings are cancelled. Due to this, any booked traffic will be subject to delays throughout the day and will be provided an update via email or text. We apologies for any inconvenience caused. Any foot passengers planning to travel via our vehicle ferry are asked to travel via our Red Jet service, with a free upgrade.

Based on the planned easing of national restrictions expected to take effect on or after 17th May, including the anticipated reopening of hotels, indoor hospitality, leisure and attractions, the operator will closely monitor demand for evening Red Jet services, with a view to extend the current timetable later into the evening.
