Billie Eilish, The Killers, Tame Impala and Lizzo will headline Firefly’s 2021 lineup, it was announced Monday night.
This year’s Dover festival, located in The Woodlands, will be held in the fall instead of summer for the first time, with event dates Sept. 23-26.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for fans who register for the presale at fireflyfestival.com.
Major performers also include Megan Thee Stallion, Cage the Elephant, Roddy Ricch, Wiz Khalifa, Diplo, Glass Animals, Machine Gun Kelly and Portugal. The Man.
State officials did not immediately respond to messages about whether the Division of Public Health has officially approved a plan for the four-day music festival. No details were released about possible COVID-19 restrictions.
Lizzo are set to headline the four-day event, which also boasts performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, Cage the Elephant, Wiz Khalifa, Machine Gun Kelly, Diplo, Portugal. the Man, Nelly, Phoebe Bridgers, Blackbear, Sylvan Esso, Glass Animals, lovelytheband, Band of Horses, Taking Back Sunday, Girl in Red, Dominic Fike, Arlo Parks, Flo Milli, Denzel Curry, Duke Dumont, Big Wild, Iann Dior and many more.
Firefly is set to take place September 23-26. Tickets will be available for presale on Friday (May 14) and will be accessible to the general public on May 17 via the festival’s
website. In addition to watching live music, tickets will also grant festival goers access to the campgrounds, daily yoga, a beach club, silent discos, intramural sports, permanent showers, a farmers’ market and general store.
Over the last few weeks there’s been a whole slew of festival lineup announcements for the fall, and today, Firefly has announced their return and lineup.

The rest of the lineup doesn’t disappoint, as festival-goers will get to witness performances from renowned acts like
Phoebe Bridgers, Cage The Elephant, Megan Thee Stallion, Sylvan Esso, Khruangbin, Portugal. The Man, Band of Horses, girl in red, Dominic Fike, Arlo Parks, Mt. Joy, Peach Pit, and many more.

Firefly Music Festival is planning to reduce capacity to about 50,000 fans this fall, state officials said, a reduced capacity that would make it the smallest since the festival s 2012 debut.
But details about other possible COVID-19 related precautions and restrictions have largely been undecided. State health officials will begin the detailed planning process with festival organizers later this month.
A day after Firefly dropped its 93-act lineup featuring headliners Billie Eilish, The Killers, Tame Impala and Lizzo, a top state health official spoke with Delaware Online/The News Journal about how the massive Sept. 23-26 camping-and-music event could happen this fall.

Firefly Music Festival will feature seven stages, ranging in size and varying in terms of the type of experience they each offer. In addition to larger stages, the festival will also include a number of smaller performance spaces. These include the Treehouse, an intimate stage hosting emerging artists, as well as the Nest, which provides a dance space led by DJs.
This year’s ticket presale begins Friday, May 14 at 10 a.m. ET. Any remaining inventory will go on sale to the general public Monday, May 17 at 10 a.m. ET.
