Kevadiya station: Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off eight new trains to Kevadiya and inaugurated the 18 km long broad gauge (BG) converted rail line from Dabhoi to Chandod, a 32 km long new rail line from Chandod to Kevadiya, an 80 km long newly electrified Pratapnagar – Kevadiya section, the new station buildings of Dabhoi Junction, Chandod as well as Kevadiya through video conferencing. The newly built Kevadiya station is the country s first railway station with a green building certification by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) since its inception. The Prime Minister flagged off eight new trains from various destinations to Kevadiya.
The rail connectivity with Kevadiya is expected to script a new chapter in the development of the area, which will benefit both tourists and local adivasis as this will bring in new avenues of employment.
Underlining changes in approach in development of rail infrastructure in recent times, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that this led to unprecedented progress in modernisation in Indian Railways.

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday flagged off eight trains connecting different parts of the country to Kevadia in Gujarat, via video conferencing.
These trains will connect Kevadia to Varanasi, Dadar, Ahmedabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Rewa, Chennai and Pratapnagar.
Modi said these trains will help boost tourism in the tribal region and increase connectivity to the world s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, which he inaugurated in October 2018 on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel s 143rd birth anniversary.
