New Delhi [India], December 23 (ANI): The shooting of actor-turned-politician Rajnikanth s upcoming Tamil drama film Annaatthe has been postponed after four crew members tested positive for coronavirus during routine testing, on Wednesday.

Annaatthe resumed the shooting of the film on December 14 in Hyderabad. The shooting had come to a halt amid the pandemic and lockdown. The megastar was supposed to film a lot of action and drama amid the 45-day schedule which was being shot completely indoors at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. But, the shooting has now come to a halt after 4 crew members tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the reports, 40 percent of the shoot is pending. After the crew members tested positive, the shooting was suspended. The actor is set to go back to Chennai on Wednesday or Thursday. Sun Pictures, on Wednesday, took to Twitter to make the announcement that read, “During routine testing at #Annaathe shoot 4 crew members have tested positive for Covid19. Superstar @rajinikanth and other crew members have tested negative. To ensure utmost safety #Annaatthe shooting has been postponed.”

Superstar Rajinikanth had flown to Hyderabad on December 14 for a forty-day shoot schedule for his next film Annaatthe helmed by Siruthai Siva. The first part of it was to be till December 29, after which he was supposed to launch his political party on December 31. Rajinikanth was for planning to complete the film before the Tamil Nadu general elections.
