ATCHISON COUNTY Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on multiple charges after a shooting incident and standoff.Just before 6p.m. Wednesday officers responded to Amberwell Hospital after a 47-year-old male with a non-life threatening gunshot wound had been taken there by private vehicle, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.It was determined that a dispute between the victim and 57-year-old Porter Webb had occurred outside a residence in the 1100 block South 7th Street in Atchison. During the dispute Webb produced a handgun and fired one shot into a vehicle occupied by the victim, according to Wilson.The victim was able to drive away from the scene and sought help from a family member at a residence just blocks away and the family member took the victim to the hospital.Police officers subsequently focused attention on Porter Webb's residence at 1122 South 7th Street and obtained a search warrant for the residence. Search Warrants Executed in Guernsey Co.
The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office said they executed two search warrants in the county on Monday.
The Sheriff’s Office said the Special Response Team and the CODE Task Force executed a warrant a warrant a residence in Buffalo. Authorities said the warrant stems from an illegal firearm and narcotic investigation.
Officials said firearms, narcotics and equipment related to the illegal activity were seized. Two suspects were taken to the Guernsey County Jail where charges are pending.
The Sheriff’s Office also executed a warrant at a residence on Zane Road in Lore City. Officials said the warrant stems from a narcotic investigation.
