For children turning three (3) years old on or before September 1st and for children up to five (5) years of age, the screening dates are in mid May with appointment times available from 8:30 to 3:30 on both Friday and Tuesday, May 14th and May 18th, and from 11:00 to 6:30 on Monday, May 17th. Offered at no cost, the screenings will help the District identify children who may need assistance before starting school and appointments are required. Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their children to the screening. Call the Special Needs Office in Newton between the hours of 8:00 and 4:00, on this Monday, for an appointment or more details at 783-3651.
