“There’s no place for far-right extremism in the army,” Ms Hoegl wrote in the report. “We need investigations, sanctions and prevention – in a consistent, complete and fast way.”
“Soldiers are not under general suspicion and the absolute majority does a responsible job every day”, she said.
Ms Hoegl demanded that more staff be hired to speed up investigations.

A soldier from Germany s elite Special Commando Forces (KSK) went on trial Friday on charges of violating laws on war weapons, firearms and explosives possession.
The 45-year-old was arrested last May after two kilograms (4.4 lbs) of explosives and weapons, including an assault rifle with ammunition, were discovered at his property in Collm, near the easter city of Leipzig.
