NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA Loft Ensemble, a theater company based in North Hollywood, recently named Vel Stacy as its newest co-artistic director. Stacy will work in tandem with Adam Chambers, who has served as the theater s artistic director since 2012, to prepare seasons that can be produced both digitally and in-person.
A graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Stacy joined the Loft Ensemble in 2016 and recently served as membership director. He has also danced on prominent stages like The Kennedy Center while performing with Diavolo Dance Group, and taught english through drama while living in Italy.

Asmeret Ghebremichael was last seen in London s West End production of Dreamgirls as Lorrell Robinson (IARA Award nomination). She also played Nabulungi in The Book of Mormon. Her Broadway credits include The Book of Mormon, Elf The Musical, Legally Blonde (Pilar), Spamalot, Wicked, and Footloose. Off Broadway, Asmeret appeared in In The Heights(Drama Desk Award), and was nominated for Lucille Lortel, Audelco, and Chita Rivera Awards for her portrayal as Nickie in Sweet Charity opposite Sutton Foster. Spike Lee’s testosterone picture is no mere action-adventure film.
