Hazardous materials were found at a property owned by Green National, the company that owns the Skyline apartments. The Syracuse Fire Department is on scene.

Syracuse, N.Y. Four people were hospitalized and another three were treated after chemicals were found “present in the air” at a Green National property, according to the Syracuse Fire Department.
Firefighters and police responded to the Chestnut Crossing Apartments, located at 947 James Street, just after 12:30 p.m. for a reported strong chemical odor in the building, according to a fire department news release.

Syracuse Fire crews battled two fires in the span of a few hours over the weekend.
The first blaze was reported around 9:15 Saturday morning at a home on the city s Northside. No one was inside the building on N Alvord St.
Just before 3, another fire broke out two miles away on Wadsworth St. A man inside the home was able to escape, and was taken to the hospital.

Syracuse, N.Y. After battling a blaze Saturday morning on Syracuse’s North Side, fire crews were called to a second reported structure fire less than two miles away, according to Onondaga County 911 dispatches.
Syracuse firefighters responded to a reported house fire at about 2:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of Wadsworth Street, according to dispatches.
