After dropping its first game to Saint Louis, softball nabbed three straight wins to close out the series last weekend.
The Colonials’ (25-8, 15-1 A-10) undefeated streak in conference play was snapped in a 7–5 comeback loss to the Billikens (17-25, 10-10 A-10) last Saturday afternoon. GW bounced back in the second game to end the day with a 9–2 victory, before routing the Billikens in a double-header last Sunday with an 8–2 finish to begin the day and a 15–2 win by the run rule in the afternoon.
Graduate student infielder Jenna Cone earned A-10 Player of the Week for her performance, amassing three home runs and 10 RBIs over four games and recorded her second grand slam of the season. Sophomore utility player Maggie Greco secured three RBIs and two runs to nab A-10 Rookie of the Week as well.

Last spring, redshirt junior utility player Sierra Lange watched her team from the dugout after suffering a season-ending ACL injury. Just a year later, Lange tossed the fifth no-hitter in program history.
Lange’s return to the field has boosted the Colonials’ (25-8, 15-1 A-10) dominant streak in conference play that has put the squad atop the Atlantic 10. She helms a Colonial pitching staff, owning the second-best ERA on the squad with a 1.98, while also notching 45 hits at the plate.

Softball nabbed four Atlantic 10 wins in a series sweep over Dayton Saturday and Sunday.
The Colonials (20-7, 12-0 A-10) plated a total of 18 runs in four games while conceding just four runs to the Flyers (11-21, 6-6 A-10). The squad remains atop the central pod’s standings with just five series to go in conference play.
The Colonials opened the series Saturday with a doubleheader. GW shut out the Flyers 2–0 in the first game before following it up with a closer 3–2 victory later in the afternoon. The team sent the Flyers packing Sunday with a 9–1 rout to begin the day and a 4–1 finish in the afternoon.
