Farmers have a lot to think about when it comes to fertilizer. When should it be applied, how much should be applied and where it should be applied are just a few complex – but crucial – decisions they have to make. At Mosaic, we believe it’s important for farmers to understand not only how their fertilizer application decisions effect crop yields, but also how it impacts air and water quality. That’s why we’re dedicated to educating farmers and retailers about the 4R Nutrient Stewardship framework.
4R Nutrient Stewardship encompasses fertilizer best management practices to achieve cropping system goals, like maximizing profitability and protecting the environment. To achieve those goals, the 4Rs framework incorporates the Right nutrient source, at the Right rate, at the Right time, and in the Right place.
Firefighters from 3 departments battle sulphuric fire

ST. ANTHONY Crews from three different departments spent Monday morning battling a sulphuric fire at Simplot Grower Solutions.
It started around 8:15 a.m. inside a sulfur storage facility at 2555 South Yellowstone Highway, according to South Fremont Fire Department Assistant Chief David Fausett.
South Fremont, North Fremont and Madison Fire Departments responded to the fire and used foam to help control flames. Nearly 30 firefighters were on the scene and the blaze out by 10:30 a.m.
Nobody was injured and investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.

LINCOLN After an outstanding season opener last Friday night, Lincoln Speedway is set to do it once again this Friday, April 16 as five divisions are ready to go. Headlining the evening will be the 305 Sprint Cars and Midwest Big Ten Pro Late Models.
The Winged 305 Sprint Cars will be racing for the first of three appearances this season at the semi banked dirt ¼-mile oval. In the three appearances last season, the drivers put on exciting shows with Weldon, IL’s Garrett Duff, Lincoln, IL’s Max Pozsgai, and Greenwood, IN’s Bradley Galedrige claiming the wins. Jeff Wilke, Tyler Duff, Ben Wagoner, and Jeff Tuxhorn are others who had strong runs one year ago.
