A CELTIC cult hero made a surprise visit to Dunfermline on Friday night. Scottish Cup winner Rudi Vata stopped by Pitreavie playing fields to see the Crossgates Primrose 2009 team during their evening training session. The former Albanian international team captain s trip to Fife was arranged by parent David Kay, a pal of the 52-year-old, who started the 1995 Scottish Cup final as Celtic beat Airdrieonians 1-0. Vata spoke to the team about his experiences as a footballer and gave them training tips and advice on helping them keep mentally and physically healthy. He said: Kids like these are the future of football and it’s important to nurture that in a positive way so they can get the best out of the game. It’s important that the kids stay healthy physically but also important that they stay healthy mentally, especially in these difficult times.
