Wanawadi where local people complained that unauthorised digging of road has been going on for quite some time.
The citizens got alerted that all the digging was going on during late in the night that is not normal if the civic body had given permission. “When we wrote a letter to PMC about the digging work, the truth came out, as the civic body did not give any permission for the cable wire set-up and excavation work,” said a local resident of Hole Vasti.
Patience is running out with the dumping issue at St Anthony s Park, Cement Road, Drogheda, with suggestions that the green area be removed and replaced with parking if it can t be kept clean.
This is the second month running that the problem has been raised at council level in Drogheda, after Cllr Joanna Byrne brought it to their attention in early January. It is now a holy show, she said angrily at the February meeting, and it s even worse one month on, a total shambles. Something drastic needs to happen - even taking out the green and putting in car parking for commuters, because what is going on is not even decent and shows total lack of respect for the council and for their neighbours.
