Mary and Suzanne originally met in 1993 when Suzanne moved into the house across the street. Suzanne speaks of seeing Boyle’s sewing room light on late at night and gaining a curiosity for the beautiful quilts that she was creating. The duo planned that one day Mary would teach Suzanne the art of quilt making.

In 2017, Suzanne found herself recently retired and knew that it was the perfect time to have Mary teach her how to make her first quilt. Mary decided that they would attempt the “Chrysallis” pattern, a pattern that Mary’s quilting friends thought might be too difficult for a beginner.
