Caribbean Broilers Group has announced that its flagship brand CB Chicken is also antibiotic-free.  This follows last week’s announcement by its competitor Jamaica Broilers Group, which indicated it was eliminating the use of the agent that fights bacteria.  According to Caribbean Broilers CEO Matthew Lyn, the company was to reveal the development at the opening of its new sustainable poultry plant, The Nest, in a few months.  However, with the move last week by Best Dressed Chicken to make its shift public, Lyn said it made more sense for Caribbean Broilers to share the good news now.  We want to congratulate the Jamaica Broilers team on this major achievement. June deadline for first gas delivery to CB s 10MW CHP plant

The CHP plant, which represents a tripartite deal with CB Group, NFE and the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) is being constructed at “The Nest”, CB Group’s new US$120m agro-complex in Hill Run, St Catherine.
