Blast at oxygen plant in Lucknow kills 2, at least 5 others injured
At least two people were killed and five others were injured in a blast at an oxygen refilling plant in Lucknow on Wednesday.

A blast at an oxygen refilling station in Lucknow claimed the lives of two people on Wednesday. According to initial inputs, the blast took place while the workers were refilling an oxygen cylinder. The fire caused by the blast engulfed the refilling station located in the Chinhat area of Uttar Pradesh s capital.
Four others who were injured are undergoing treatment at RML Hospital in Lucknow.
LUCKNOW: As many as three persons were killed after an oxygen cylinder burst at an oxygen gas filling station located on Dewa road in Chinhat police station area of Lucknow on Wednesday. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.
Lucknow police commissioner, DK Thakur, who was the first to reach the spot confirmed TOI about three deaths. He also said that prima facie it appears that a jumbo oxygen cylinder of one of the kin of patients who had come to refill seemed to have been faulty, which led to the blast.

The cremation grounds in Lucknow, Varanasi and Prayagraj are now unable to cope with the rush of bodies for cremation and pyres are now being lit on any open ground available nearby.
In Lucknow, the cremation grounds in Bhainsakund-renamed Baikunth Dham- and Gulala Ghat can no longer bear the burden of bodies that are coming in at an alarming frequency.
