Dundalk Dog Rescue s 2021 calendar is full of pin-up pooches who have passed through its doors in previous years.
The cover dog is none other than Finn, who entered Dundalk Dog Rescue as a six week old pup. Since then he has become something of a canine celebrity as he made history as the first Mascot Dog in St Vincent s Secondary School. He has featured in a number of newspaper articles and was a finalist in this year s Nose of Tralee competition.
The past year has been a tough one for dog rescues, including Dundalk Dog Rescue, as the restrictions around COVID-19 curtailed many of their fund-raising events such as the annual sponsored dog walk and Paws in the Park. It also changed the way they worked, as they were no longer able to rehome dogs directly as home checks couldn t take place during lockdown.
