Bridging the Dragon hosted the
7th Sino-European Forum.
The program started with a webinar on documentary in China held by
QI Kang, CEO of Brilliantly Studio a branch of iQIYI, one of the local biggest streaming platforms. After the webinar presentation,
Han Lina, Senior Manager of the top Chinese TV drama house Perfect World Pictures, analysed the TV & streaming landscape of China.
The Forum continued with five roundtables on practical topics for a selection of 75 European producers. The experts were

Have you worked with China before?
Hans de Weers: I havenât worked with China before. However, I have produced a Netflix TV series called
Tokyo Trial, together with Japan. I think there are similarities between working with Japan and working with China. They are both outspoken Asian cultures. Actually, interestingly I think working with China could be even slightly easier, because the Chinese market is enormous. There are more opportunities in the market and it is somehow more flexible.
