Governor, CM discuss pandemic, police reforms

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday held a one-to-one meeting with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail at the Governor House.
A statement issued by the Governor House said the meeting took into consideration issues of mutual interest, including the law and order situation of the province, development schemes and improvement of mutual relations for uplifting the living standards of the people.
The meeting took into consideration the prevailing situation concerning the spread of the novel coronavirus and the precautionary steps being taken to prevent the cases of the deadly viral disease in the province.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Tuesday said the workers, supporters, and members of PTI were facing Political victimization in Sindh adding that the PPP Government had failed to deliver in Sindh.
The Governor expressed this while speaking to the media at the residence of Raees Arsalan Bux Brohi district President Pakistan Tehreek Insaf on his visit to Thatta.
”Under the 18th amendment the issue of water distribution is to be solved by the Provincial Government and the federal government can not interfere in that,” the Governor said, adding that the federal government was equally concerned about the situation in Sindh because it was one of the federating units.
‘Ehsaas’ to provide Sehri, Iftar meals to deserving people

Karachi: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has expressed optimism for the Ehsaas-Saylani Langar Scheme one of the projects of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Ehsaas programme to construct shelter homes and combat hunger throughout the country. He said this on Monday during a meeting with Chairman Saylani Welfare Trust Maulana Basheer Ahmed Farooqui at the Governor House, and directed the chairman to make arrangements for Iftar and Sehri meals for the deserving people during the month of Ramadan. He said the scheme was inaugurated in October 2019 Prime Minister Imran Khan, and had no comparison to others anywhere in the world. Over 100 soup kitchens had been established in different parts of the country in the first phase under the poverty alleviation plan, and the facility would also be expanded to other areas of the country.
