Llandybie Friends member and knitter Janice Evans s granddaughter Lily helping out Earlier this year Llandybie Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care kept themselves busy by knitting over 400 Easter chicks, raising over £650 for the charity. The fundraising group were looking for new ways to raise funds as their normal activities were paused due to the on-going effects of the pandemic. They’ve had huge success as the chicks have been flying off the shelves and they have been continually knitting them since February. The keen knitters include Janice Evans, Lily Rhys, Gill Andrews, Cynthia Hopkins and Rhian Llewellyn and were supported by Trap WI’s Pat Llewellyn, Olive Tyrrell, Pam Adams and Monica Haeny.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â When you think back to those days of participating in science fair, you will recall looking for that tri-fold board, doing some research and nervously presenting to a group of judges.
This year those nerves can be calmed as students do things virtually.
âEverything is virtual, they submit their boards virtually there are no more of the trifled boards, we even had our secondary students submit recorded presentations,â said Wendy Devoe, a secondary science specialist for the Corpus Christi Independent School District.
