Investigators say alcohol is suspected to be a factor in a single-vehicle crash in which two women were seriously injured after being ejected from a Ford Explorer in Clermont County early Friday.
A preliminary investigation shows 23-year-old James Durham, of Amelia, was driving the SUV southwest on Ohio 132 in Ohio Township about 2:45 a.m. when it failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned, the Batavia post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The release said passengers Chelsea Barron, 28, of Park Hills, and Cynthia Durham, 24, of New Richmond, were thrown from the Ford Explorer and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
