It is incredibly hard to review a book like
Thought Economics. Firstly, the title itself can be misleading as this book is not particularly about economics. The book is, as the sub-title suggests, about ‘Conversations with the remarkable people shaping our century’. There are so many interesting ideas that one reading of the book will not suffice. Reading the book a second time (at least sections the reader finds interesting) and reflecting deeply on the ideas and views presented can be a fruitful exercise.

A former Manchester Evening News reporter has launched a PR consultancy.
Alex Bell, who worked on the business and crime desks at the MEN for almost eight years, was most recently chief operating officer at Manchester agency Roland Dransfield.
His new venture, BellPress, has secured Professor Vikas Shah MBE as a first client.
He s been tasked with promoting Shah s debut book Thought Economics to the national media and has partnered with TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) UK North, which is among the largest entrepreneurs networks in the world.
“It’s exciting to get the consultancy up and running and an honour to be involved in the launch of Vikas Shah’s Thought Economics and to have partnered with TiE UK North,” said Bell.
