The UFC Fight Island 8 fight card was originally supposed to feature Leon Edwards vs. Khamzat Chimaev in a high stakes welterweight main event.
But the main event for UFC Fight Island 8 has transformed into another intriguing welterweight bout between top ten contenders Michael Chiesa and Neil Magny.
Magny had an exceptional run last year, staying active and amassing a three-fight winning streak over reputable welterweight contenders like Li Jingliang, Anthony Rocco Martin, and former UFC Champion Robbie Lawler.
“2020’s been a great year for me,” Magny said. “I wish it was a better year for a lot of people. But at the end of the day, I have no complaints about how 2020’s played out for me.”

Pearls Before Swine (AMS) sets the mood for today’s risky choice, which is to have a few laughs while we wait for Joe and Kamala to take the wheel.
It’s a risk because there’s nothing new to be said about Trump’s endgame and I don’t want to wallow in it this morning, but if political cartoonists don’t come up with some New Beginnings material, I won’t have much in the larder tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I’d suggest to Rat that he use a smaller hammer. When I was in 10th grade, I had an ongoing conflict with a teacher and I used to come home from school, grab a hatchet from the garage and go out into the woods to chop down a tree. (Not to fret; there were plenty.)
UFC 260 is taking shape after Dana White confirmed that it will feature a heavyweight title bout in addition to the already revealed featherweight championship.
Max Holloway dominates Calvin Kattar at UFC Fight Island 7

The Ultimate Fighting Championship kicked off their 2021 schedule of events on Saturday with UFC Fight Island 7: Hollway vs. Kattar at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The event marked the first to air on the ABC network.
Former featherweight champion Max Holloway faced No. 6 ranked Calvin Kattar in the fight card’s main event and Holloway dominated the fight from start to finish.
Holloway simply outclassed Kattar with his high output and accurate combinations. Hollaway mixed up his attack landing punches, elbows, kicks, spinning kicks, and knees. While Kattar found success with his jab, the fight was one-sided.
