STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) â The United States Golf Association announced today that SentryWorld in Stevens Point would host the 43rd US Senior Open June 29-July 2 2023.
USGA Senior managing director John Bodenhamer said âWe know the region and community will enthusiastically support the US Senior Open and that SentryWorld will provide a complete test for the international field competing for the Francis D.Ouimet Trophy.â
The course has hosted national events before. In 1986 the US Womens Amateur Public Links finals were won by Cindy Schreyer. And in 2019 the US Girls Junior Championship was won by Lei Ye.

(USGA) LIBERTY CORNER, N.J. ) â The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced SentryWorld, in Stevens Point, Wis., as the host site for the 43rd U.S. Senior Open Championship. SentryWorld will host its first Senior Open and third USGA championship from June 29-July 2, 2023.
âThe USGA is pleased to return to SentryWorld and the state of Wisconsin to conduct the most prestigious championship in senior golf,â said John Bodenhamer, USGA senior managing director, Championships. âWe know that the region and community will enthusiastically support the U.S. Senior Open and that SentryWorld will provide a complete test for an international field competing for the Francis D. Ouimet Memorial Trophy.â
